On March 26, 2026, the University of Latvia International Scientific Conference on Medicine and Health Sciences 2026 took place at the University of Latvia House of Science, where representatives of the Latvian Ergonomics Society, together with their colleagues, presented a poster presentation titled “Causes and Predictors of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders among Operating Room Specialists in Latvia.”
Authors of the presentation: Prof. Ženija Roja, Prof. Henrijs Kaļķis, Kristīne Šmiukše, Marwan Babiker, and Dr. med. Ināra Roja. The study analyzed the causes and predictive factors of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among operating room specialists, highlighting the importance of an ergonomic and safe work environment in healthcare. The presentation received positive feedback from conference participants, including leading representatives of the medical sector.
