On November 28, the Latvian Ergonomics Society, in cooperation with “Ū vitamīns,” conducted a seminar on the importance of drinking water in maintaining health and work capacity.
During the seminar, we discussed:
💧 Drinking water and employee health — how hydration affects concentration, energy levels, and overall well-being.
🌿 The use of tap water — an environmentally friendly, economical, and sustainable choice for everyday life and for organizations.
♻️ Sustainable habits at work — responsible water consumption practices and their impact on the environment.
In addition, we also explained:
• how water supports joint function, regulates body temperature, and helps brain function;
• how to recognize signs of dehydration and why water should be consumed regularly, not only when feeling thirsty;
• practical tips — drinking water every 30 minutes, carrying a water bottle, and enriching the diet with water-rich vegetables.
The key takeaway — water is one of the simplest ways to improve health, well-being, and work efficiency.
A big thank you to our cooperation partners, the Association “Latvian Water Supply and Sewerage Companies Association” and “Ū vitamīns,” for making this possible! We would also like to thank our lecturers: Prof. Ženija Roja, Assoc. Prof. Sandis Dejus, Doc. Jānis Brizga, and occupational therapist Justīne Blumberga.
