Henrijs Kaļķis, a member of the Board of the Latvian Ergonomics Society, professor and researcher at the University of Latvia, is conducting a study entitled “Ergonomic stress indicators in contemporary technological work environment and possibilities of its improvement in social-technical system “Human-Machine-Environment””.
The main goal of the research is to determine the indicators of ergonomic stress in the modern technological work environment and to create a model of ergonomic stress in the socio-technical system “Man-machine-environment”, showing the directions and possibilities for improvement.
The study combines interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches, including ergonomic, health and safety and business management methods, and approaches linking them to multidisciplinary aspects of manufacturing in Latvia (occupational health, management, human resources, ergonomic intervention).
Already now H. Kaļķis has actively analyzed the theoretical aspects of ergonomic stress and load parameters and has actively started measuring and evaluating them in various Latvian organizations. You can find out more about the progress of the research on the website of the University of Latvia.
The project is implemented within the framework of postdoctoral research support at the University of Latvia, project title: Ergonomic stress indicators in contemporary technological work environment and possibilities of its improvement in social-technical system “Human-Machine-Environment”, Project agreement number: 1.1.1.2/VIAA/3/19/546.
