Penn State University Professor Andris Freivalds guest lecture “Fundamentals of Ergonomics” and “Fundamentals of Ergonomics and Cognitive Ergonomics”

On May 30 and 31, 2019, guest lectures by Professor Andris Freivalds of the University of Pennsylvania “Fundamentals of Ergonomics” and “Fundamentals of Ergonomics and Cognitive Ergonomics” took place at the University of Latvia Nature House, Jelgavas Street 1.

Pennsylvania State University Professor Andris Freivalds is a certified, professional ergonomist. He has developed research in human factor and ergonomics in the United States, conducts several study courses in ergonomics, biomechanics, work psychology, musculoskeletal modeling, and established the Ergonomics / Human Factor Training and Research Laboratory. Over the past 30 years, he has also advised more than 90 companies and implemented ergonomic solutions. The United States represents the Ergonomics Association and the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics and Applied Ergonomics. He has been an honorary member of the Latvian Ergonomics Society since 2008. He has visited the University of Latvia several times with guest lectures in the field of ergonomics.
